Which personal data Clinic Shortlist handles and why, which providers help run the site, and your rights under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law.
Who is responsible
The owner of Clinic Shortlist (clinicshortlist.com) is responsible for your personal data and can be reached at info@clinicshortlist.com for any data question. Data is handled in line with the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021).
What we collect and why
Visitors: IP address, browser type and pages viewed, used only to keep the site secure and working.
People who write to us, by email or through a form: the message and the details in it, used to reply or, when you send a question to clinics, to pass it on to them.
Clinic accounts: the sign-in email and the clinic’s details, used to run its page and any plan it buys.
Please keep health information, medical history and photos of the area you want treated out of your messages. We have no use for them and we delete them when they arrive.
No adverts, no tracking cookies
There are no adverts on Clinic Shortlist, and no advertising or analytics cookies. Cloudflare Web Analytics counts visits without cookies. The one cookie we set is technical: it lets clinic owners stay signed in to their business area. That is why the site has no cookie banner.
Providers that handle data for us
Cloudflare provides hosting, security, cookie-free visit counts and our email. Its Turnstile service checks that forms are sent by a person. Stripe takes payment for clinic plans and keeps the card details on its side, so we never see them. Some of these providers are in the United States, so data may be processed outside the UAE, with the safeguards the law requires.
How long we keep data
Browsing data: only as long as security requires. Messages: until we have answered them. Clinic accounts: while they remain open. Invoices: for the period that tax and accounting rules set.
Your rights
You may ask what personal data we hold about you and get a copy, have it corrected or erased, have its use restricted or stopped, and have it sent to you in a portable form. Email info@clinicshortlist.com with your request. If you are not satisfied with how we deal with it, you can complain to the UAE Data Office.
Children
Clinic Shortlist is written for adults, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
Any change to how we handle personal data will be reflected on this page.
