Orthodontists in the UAE

Choose a city to see its orthodontists and orthodontic clinics, for children, teenagers and adults. A button in each list narrows it to those offering Invisalign. General dental clinics that also offer aligners are listed on the dental clinics’ Invisalign pages instead.

What people ask before treatment

Orthodontist or general dentist: who should handle my aligners?

An orthodontist is a dentist with specialist training in moving teeth and correcting the bite. In the UAE the licence shows whether a dentist is registered as a specialist in orthodontics or as a general dentist. Many general dentists offer clear aligners, so ask who will plan your treatment and how many cases like yours they handle.

At what age should a child first see an orthodontist?

Many orthodontists suggest a first check around the age of seven, when problems with the bite can be spotted early. Most children do not need treatment at that age, and braces are usually fitted later, once more adult teeth have come through.

Braces or Invisalign: how do I decide?

It depends on how your teeth and bite need to move, and only an orthodontist who has examined you can say which suits you. Aligners come out to eat and clean, so they only work if you wear them for most of the day. Fixed braces work all the time. Ask what happens if the planned result is not reached and how many extra aligners are included.

What should an orthodontic quote include?

Ask whether the price covers records and scans, every adjustment visit, any extra aligners and the retainers at the end. Ask how long the treatment is expected to take, whether you can pay in instalments and what happens to the treatment and the payments if you leave the UAE before it is finished.
